JEAN-FRANCOIS PROULX

President

Jean-François Proulx, leisure studies graduate from collège La Cité, has acquired
20 years of valuable experience working with children, including the role of program coordinator in an early childhood centre. He is currently embarking on a new journey, the study of philanthropic management at the University of Montreal. Highly involved in the community, Jean-François is a founding member and president of La Fondation Momentum Jeunesse, leader of all activities undertaken by the foundation and coordinator of human resources. He has seen the foundation’s various projects to completion through his devotion to a cause for which he cares deeply.

ISABELLE BASTIEN

Vice-President

With a master's degree in psychoeducation from UQO, Isabelle worked with clients at risk for developmental disorders in the Pontiac area. She was the coordinator of infant development programs for the Toronto Francophone Center and participated in monthly meetings with daycare directives, regular meetings with various infant development programs in Toronto as well as Francophone programs in Ontario. She strongly believes that prevention and education are part of healthy lifestyles that are important for children.

MIREILLE LAVIGNE

Administrator

Mireille has made philanthropy her job for more than 10 years now. She grew up in a circus school and fundamentally believes in the importance of helping children thrive.  Now Executive Director of the Fondation des gouverneurs de l’espoir, a foundation that supports seriously ill children and their families, she acquired most of her experience with a Montreal organization that promotes the development of children through sports and the outdoors. Mireille is a member of the Association of Philanthropy Professionals (AFP) and is studying part-time for a certificate in philanthropic management at the Université de Montréal.

MAXIM TISSOT

Administrator

Maxim is a professional soccer player from the region. He started his career with Montreal Impact in 2013. Since then, he has had the good fortune to live in Canada and the United States to play the sport he loves. He now plays for Forge FC Hamilton in the Canadian Premier League. Maxim had to move to Laval at the age of 14 to pursue the dream of one day becoming a professional player. He firmly believes that sport trains young people with values essential to everyday life. He wants to transmit these values for the benefit of our youth and the foundation.

FRANCE GAUDET

Administrator

As a certified teacher of Ontario for over 11 years, France holds a position of Resource Teacher and Lead of the Student Exit Profile within the CECCE. Working in the field of education, she understands well the issues that affect the mental health, well-being and physical health of children in our community.

GUILLAUME VERMETTE

Administrator

Guillaume is a certified teacher and he has been working in the school environment for more than 15 years, either as a teacher or as a partner in the environment that he particularly likes. He has always been involved in healthy lifestyles, whether as an athlete, physical education teacher or program promoter.  All of his professional and personal background make him an undeniable asset in the deployment of programs at the Foundation.

KALEENA DESORMEAUX, EPEI

Treasurer

Registered early childhood educator with a degree in psychology. Ms. Desormeaux is the director of the Centre Parascolaire Alpha 3-12. She is responsible for the implementation of the educational program for children from 18 months of age to 12 years old. She has a great knowledge of basic needs in young children. She is involved in several partnerships with school boards as well as francophone daycares in Ottawa, which allows us to share our cycling project and develop our partnerships with the community.
